Saturday Salutations at VMFA:

Recognize the power of your practice as we celebrate our community impact during each Saturday Salutation session. Join Project Yoga Richmond on select Saturdays from May to October on the VMFA’s Belvedere Deck to increase access to yoga. Each class our ambassadors will highlight one of our yoga and mindfulness outreach programs that your practice supports across the Greater Richmond region.

Classes are open to all levels, family-friendly, and support PYR’s yoga and mindfulness outreach programs! Please note, we cannot take payments at the event itself, save your spot and support your community by signing up today! All spaces first come, first serve with pre-registration.

When to arrive: 8:45 am or earlier to check in. All participants will be required to sign in prior to class.
Where to park: In the VMFA parking deck or on the street
What to bring: Your mat, water, a towel, and a friend! Sunscreen and sunglasses are strongly recommended! It can become hot, so be prepared with water and willing to take breaks when necessary. A limited number of mats will be available to borrow.
What to wear: Something comfortable and weather-appropriate that you can move in!

Project Yoga Richmond is offering its 6th annual Saturday Salutations series at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to our beloved community!

Join us every other Saturday from May to September, from 9-10am on the VMFA’s beautifully landscaped Belvedere Deck (located above the Sculpture Garden). Classes are open to all levels, beginner appropriate and family friendly!

At this year’s VMFA series we’re celebrating community outreach to show that your practice truly has power. Each week our ambassadors will highlight the outreach program through which they bring yoga to those who wouldn’t ordinarily receive it.

The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design [2501 Monument Ave] invites you to a yoga class in our garden! As a museum of architecture and design, livability and wellness are important to us. Come experience the Branch House in a new way – by exploring your wellness practice in a historical space.

We’ll be offering yoga classes each Sunday in June! Come spend your afternoon with us here at The Branch. There is no charge to attend, but donations are appreciated! All classes will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Join us on 10 select Saturdays from June to October on the VMFA’s beautifully landscaped Belvedere Deck (located above the Sculpture Garden). Classes are open to all levels, beginner-appropriate and family-friendly! We only ask that you tell your friends and stay in touch. A different PYR Ambassador leads each session. We cannot accept donations at the VMFA for these classes, but you can make a tax deductible online donation anytime here.

    If it rains or excessive heat advisory is forecast: A decision will be made as early as possible, using the best information available and noted on the calendar and via email. We will also make an announcement on Facebook. Please make sure you check one of these sources if the weather looks problematic!

Yogis – Project Yoga Richmond is hosting hour-long, all-levels flow yoga classes outdoors on various Saturday mornings this summer at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

Special Summer Event! Join us at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts at Saturday Salutations on the following dates: April 28, May 12, May 26, June 9, June 23 (hooping), August 11, August 25, September 8 (hooping), September 22, October 6, from 9-10 am. This is a FREE event open to all. Please arrive by 8:45 am and bring a mat (or hoop, depending), a towel, and water. Sunscreen is highly advised. Photos may be taken at the event. In case of rain the event will be canceled.

Location: Belvedere deck atop the Sculpture Garden (It is gorgeous!)

You can park in the VMFA’s deck for $5, or find free on-street parking on N Sheppard St.
