The line-up of bands for Friday Cheers concerts on Brown’s Island this summer has been announced; the season begins May 1 and gates open at 6 p.m.:

    Celebrating its 31st season, Venture Richmond’s premier outdoor concert series, Friday Cheers, returns to Brown’s Island on May 1, with a stellar line-up of bands you won’t want to miss, at one of RVA’s most beautiful venues. Enjoy breakout bands, national acts and Richmond’s hometown talent. Children 12 and under are free.

    There are three entry points to Brown’s Island, and payment will be taken at each. Cash, Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Debit and credit cards are only taken at two entry points: the pedestrian bridge at 5th and 7th streets. No pets are allowed.

NOTE: All classes are now filledIf your child will still be young enough next year, you can sign up on Apple’s website in April or May to be notified when registration opens; it seems to open on a Monday in mid-June

Reserve your child’s spot now in one of Apple’s free three-day workshops for kids ages 8-12 – go here to sign up (fills up quickly!)

    Join us at Apple Camp for three-day workshops where kids ages 8 to 12 bring their imaginations to life. They’ll learn to make movies or create interactive books complete with their own illustrations and sound effects. And each workshop ends with the Apple Camp Showcase so campers can share their finished projects.
