“Teacher Tuesdays” is back at McDonald’s for 2015-16: Teachers can receive a free coffee or tea every Tuesday during the school year at Richmond area McDonald’s.
Will your kids eat an Egg McMuffin? Mine won’t
Spotted at an RVA McDonald’s last week:
Teachers: “Enjoy a FREE McCafe coffee or tea every Teacher Tuesday between September and June. Simply present your school identification card when placing your order at any Greater Richmond area McDonald’s restaurant and your hot/iced coffee or tea is on us!”
Valid in-restaurant or drive-thru. One per person per visit. No purchase necessary.
Now through September 29, get a free small McCafé coffee at McDonald’s during breakfast hours.
During breakfast hours every day through April 13, McDonald’s restaurants are giving away FREE small McCafe coffees. No coupon needed.
Who’s excited for the Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball season opening today? We are going to try to make it to one of the day games this month.
If you’re trying to save money, it looks like Monday games are the ones to catch – Fans will received two tickets for the price of one for any Monday home game with a valid receipt from McDonald’s PLUS hot dogs will cost only $1!
The other day for deals is Sunday, when kids 14 and under who join the (free) Squirrel Tails Kids Club receive free admission and a free meal! (To receive a meal voucher members must visit one of the two Squirrel Tails tables located by the main entrance. Only one voucher per member, per game. This week features a hot dog, bag of chips and small Coca Cola fountain drink.) The Rita’s Water Ice carts have $2 kids sized ice for all Squirrels Kids Club members on Sunday as well. Parents can purchase a $35 Sunday FUNNDAY ticket package, with 5 Sunday games of your choice, a free t-shirt AND an invite for you and your Kroger Squirrel Tails member to an exclusive event at Kings Dominion on April 12th!

If you love the free stuff that is given away at many games (can you ever have too many bobbleheads??), here is the full lineup of Flying Squirrels giveaways. Arrive early before they run out. This is the full promotion calendar
Seniors 60+ are eligible for “Silver Squirrels,” which for $25 provides admission to 10 Tuesday homes games, a t-shirt, and a free concessions gift at each game. You can check out other ticket packages here.
The Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Cheap Seats – What’s up with the “Ollie’s Cheap Seats” banner way down the third base line? Tickets in section 217 are available each game for $4. (You can purchase online – look for the “$4.00 – Ollie’s Seats” option – but there’s a $1.50 convenience charge for each.)
Wash Em Down Wednesday – At Wednesday games, beers are available for $2 each for a two-hour time period. This isn’t mentioned on the Squirrels website, possibly because of weird ABC laws regarding advertising alcoholic beverage specials.
And finally, the Score an “A” Free Ticket Program for kids returns as well – For every “A” on your current K-12 report card during the 3rd and 4th marking period you will earn a FREE General Admission ticket to a regular season Richmond Flying Squirrels game! Each “A” on your report card is good for one ticket per game-if you receive 8 A’s then you’ll receive 8 General Admission tickets to 8 different games! Receive your free tickets by bringing your report card to our Front Office or Box Office! Ticket is good for student only. Free tickets are based upon availability. (Kids may also be eligible for a free ticket through their school’s Go Nuts for Reading! Program)
Single game tickets cost $7 for Gold Level, $8 for Silver Level Reserved (Thursday through Sunday), and $11 for Diamond Level. Parking in the lot costs $3.
Check the back of your tickets and parking stub for coupons to Rita’s Italian Ice (a free ice!), River City Diner, McDonald’s, and Halligan Bar & Grill!
I am not a coffee drinker. I figure I have made it thirty years, including through college and two babies, without it, why start now? My husband hasn’t given up trying to sell me on it though. He even offered to get a cappuccino machine to be my gateway drug and mask the dirt taste 😉

Fans who bring a receipt from a purchase at any of the 69 Richmond-area McDonald’s can redeem it for a free ticket with the purchase of a ticket to any Monday home game at The Diamond in 2012. Somehow this slipped through my deal radar! I found out about it reading Richmond.com’s Top Five Weekend Events. No worries, there are still 5 of the 8 Monday home games left (and you would not have wanted to be at the stadium for the last one on June 25th, when that HUGE storm system rolled through!)
