To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the slogan “Virginia Is for Lovers,” the Virginia Tourism Corporation is running a sweepstakes called “40 Trips in 40 Weeks.” Each week through November, it is giving away one free themed trip to a Virginia location, including 2 nights lodging. For instance, this week’s is “Bluegrass Legends of the Crooked Road.”
Dive straight into the heart of old time, bluegrass and mountain music when you see the sites and hear the sounds of the Crooked Road, including a stop at the Blue Ridge Music Center. Rest peacefully at Davis Bourne Inn, savor the tastes of Journey’s End Restaurant, and mix in small-town shopping.
(Lodging for two (2) for two (2) nights, Sunday-Thursday, at the Davis Bourne Inn, with breakfast and afternoon tea each day; Dinner for two (2) at Journey’s End Restaurant, excluding alcoholic beverages; Crooked Road gift basket; Guided tour for two (2) at the Blue Ridge Music Center. Total Retail Value: $550.00)
One grand prize winner will also be chosen, and they get to choose between 4 grand prize trips that include a 4 night hotel stay and airfare to RIC 🙂
I see a Poe-themed Richmond trip, and one grand prize option is for Richmond history, but the rest of the prizes would take the winner on fun getaways to other corners of Virginia. Enter today! (One entry per person)
