apple camp 2015
The Apple store in Short Pump Town Center will offer FREE three-day workshops this summer for kids ages 8 to 12 learn to make movies or create interactive books complete with their own illustrations and sound effects.

The catch is that these camp slots get filled super-fast (less than a day). Last year, registration opened on June 16 so if you’re interested sign up now to be notified by email when Camp registration opens and/or check the Apple Camp website regularly over the next week.

Join us at Apple Camp for three-day workshops where kids ages 8 to 12 bring their imaginations to life. They’ll learn to make movies or create interactive books complete with their own illustrations and sound effects. And each workshop ends with the Apple Camp Showcase so campers can share their finished projects.

Update 6/17 10am: I haven’t seen an official announcement, but thanks Allison for discovering you can register NOW – go here!

Know a young aspiring filmmaker? Send them to Apple Camp this summer!

A fun, free workshop where kids become filmmakers.

At Apple Camp, kids ages 8-12 learn how to shoot their own footage, create an original song in GarageBand on an iPad, and put it all together in iMovie on a Mac. This free workshop, held at the Apple Store, spans three days and ends with campers debuting their masterpieces at the Apple Camp Film Festival.

Not surprisingly, all the slots for such a neat FREE opportunity get filled fast. Based on previous years, online registration should be opening soon (anytime this week is my guess) and you can sign up here to be notified via email when the 2013 Apple Camp registration opens.

The only Apple store in Richmond is located at Short Pump Town Center.
