The “RVA Rummage Sale” will be held this Friday and Saturday at the Richmond Int’l Raceway Complex Colonial Building (600 E Laburnum Avenue) to benefit local non-profits and refugee relief. Cash and Debit/Credit Cards accepted.
Join us as the faith community comes together to fight back against poverty. Our desire is to be one community that works towards alleviating poverty both locally and abroad. Half of all proceeds will go to local organizations in RVA and the rest to provide refugee relief. We believe that not only will the profits of the sale be beneficial to those around us, but also the sale itself. We hope all the surrounding neighborhoods can benefit from purchasing donated items at low and affordable costs.

Friends of Richmond Public Library Fall Book Sale is this Friday November 4 from 12pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm, and Saturday November 5 from 10am to 4pm (Main Library, 101 E Franklin St)
Hardcover are $2, and paperbacks and children’s books are 50 cents. Also, collectible books will be sold in the Special Collections Room. Please bring paper shopping bags.

It’s been on hiatus for a while during library construction, but the Friends of VCU Libraries Book Sale is back, this Thursday through Monday:

901 Park Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23284With construction at James Branch Cabell Library complete at last, the multi-day Friends of VCU Libraries Book Sale returns. We offer a wide assortment of materials: paperback and hardcover novels, poetry collections, history books, biographies, scholarly studies, cook books, children’s books, and art books, as well as comic books, audio books, CDs, DVDs, and more.
The event is free to attend and open to all, though only current Friends of VCU Libraries donors may attend the preview sale from 9 a.m. to noon on the opening day. Anyone may join the Friends by making a [$100] donation online in advance of the sale or may join at the door by check on the day of the preview sale.
Parking is available for a fee in the West Broad Street, West Main Street, and West Cary Street parking decks.

The Virginia Historical Society will hold its fall Book Sale this Thursday, October 20 —Sunday, October 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
The Atlee Library Friends’ Fall Book Sale will be [next] Friday, October 28th, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 29th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Atlee Library’s meeting rooms. A Preview Sale for current members of the Friends will be Thursday, October 27th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. You are welcome to join the Friends at the door. Hardcover books, DVDs, CDs, and Audiobooks are $1.00 each. Paperbacks and VHS tapes are only 50 cents each. Grab a bag of books for $5.00 from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
