It’s sad day for Richmond.
Yesterday, bankrupt Circuit City announced that it would close its 567 stores and lay off its 34,000 employees. The closing is felt especially keenly in Richmond, where 1,500 employees at corporate headquarters in the West End received the news that they no longer had jobs.
