About

Welcome to Richmond Bargains Blog!

About Me:

I’m Alison, a 20-something wife and mother living in the West End of Richmond. While my full-time job is being a stay-at-home mom to a rambunctious toddler, I love to indulge in my hobby and passion of bargain hunting. And half the fun is being able to share my bargain finds with others, so I started writing Richmond Bargains to do just that.

Intro to Richmond Bargains:

I post about bargains to be had in both local stores and national chains with locations in Richmond, as well as free or cheap local events/activities. For general info about how to save money in RVA, check out my “Bargain Basics” post category. And while you’re here, browse my sidebar for links to even more resources.

My vision is for Richmond Bargains to be the ultimate resource for all savvy-shopping Richmonders to find the best deals around town. Obviously, Richmond is far too large for me to do justice to all deals, so I’m always looking for input from like-minded blog readers. If you have any bargains to share from around Richmond, I’d love to pass them on! Email me with the details – richmondbargains@gmail.com.

    Allison,
are you in the near west end? If so i’d be happy to do a feature on your website on the near west end news blog.
also, don’t forget. free cones at baskin robbins today (if you don’t mind a line)
also, you might want to post your email so folks can send you tips, or set up a dummy one like info@ that forwards to you.

Hi Jonah! I just started reading and enjoying the NWEN blog. Thanks for the offer and the email address reminder. I’m certain I had it posted on the main page but it must have gotten lost in the last Wordpress upgrade.

    Hi Alison,
The woman that does the Clothesline childrens consignment sale is doing a women’s consignment sale from Oct. 28-31. I’ve been involved in her children’s sales, and it is quite impressive! I’m expecting the women’s sale to be just as good…you might want to share the info!

Thanks for featuring the Virginia Drug Card. I’m the Marketing Director at the Greater Richmond Chamber and have been passionately promoting the value of this free card to the region for the past year, so I’m thrilled to see you share the information with your readers as well. The card is available for 2010 as well so please feel free to continue featuring the ease for anyone in need to get one (just print out a card on virginiadrugcard.com). Many thanks, Lori Amirshahi
