Henrico County Summer Class Registration

hcp camps

Henrico County residents:

Registration for Henrico County’s summer Parks & Recreation programs and camps begins this Saturday, April 27th, at 8 a.m. If you set up a “HCRP Connect” account you may register online at that time [convenience fee applies], or you can register in person at several recreation centers around the county.

The “At Your Leisure” Summer Program Guide can be viewed online, and program details are listed through HCRP Connect (sort by category: camps).

My son enjoyed two weeks of the Wee Wonders preschool morning camp last summer, and the cost was a very reasonable $30! Elementary schools offer free “Summer Blast” camp sessions:

For students who have completed grades K-4 during the 2012-2013 school year. Summer Blast Camp provides recreational activities that foster creativity and growth through arts and crafts, music, sports, creative dramatics, indoor and outdoor games, history, nature, special events, and more

Popular locations (i.e. West End) fill up quickly, so it’s important to register as soon as possible to get your top choice.

(Non-county residents may register for preschool camps starting May 28, if space is available.)

The City of Richmond summer program guide is available for viewing here, and Chesterfield County’s is here. Both have already opened registration.
