LiveSky: Water We Looking for? ($5) – Friday 6pm; Science Museum of Virginia
Our bodies are 60% water and 70% of our planet is covered by water. This precious liquid is an important building block of our lives and we simply can’t survive without it, so how much water is out in the great unknown of our solar system? Where is it hiding and how do we find it? Join us as we explore the cosmic quest for another place that holds liquid water. After the show, weather permitting, join members of the Richmond Astronomical Society as they point telescopes into the vastness of space so that we can see things with our own eyes!

Chesterfest – Saturday 10am-5pm; Chester Village Green, beside the Chester Library, 11800 Centre Street
Come enjoy an assortment of food and craft vendors, live music and other entertainment, like the dog show and pie eating contest. ChesterFest is a family-oriented gathering, including a Kid’s Zone, equipped with inflatables and hands-on activities. Details: 804-751-0421 or chesterfest.org

Family Fun Fest – Saturday 10am-2pm; HCA Virginia Westcreek Emergency Center, 12720 Tuckahoe Creek Court
The Children’s Museum of Richmond and HCA Virginia present Family Fun Fest! Families can meet Elmo while enjoying fun filled activities, crafts, performances and food at this FREE event! Fall Family Safety Fair – Saturday 11am-4pm; Chesterfield Towne Center
Members of the Police Department will display law-enforcement resources, such as SWAT equipment and a patrol vehicle. McGruff, the Crime Dog, will be there along with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS trucks and gear. Residents also may bring expired or unneeded prescription drugs for collection and disposal.

Astronomy Night ($5 parking) – Saturday 7:30-9:30pm; Pocahontas State Park
Join the Crewe Astonomy Club for a family friendly evening of star gazing. This program is free of charge (parking fees apply) and there is no registration needed. Please park in the picnic parking area at the top of the hill and walk down to the boat dock parking.

Fall Concert by the Richmond Concert Band – Sunday 5:30-7:30pm; Agecroft Hall, 4305 Sulgrave Road
The Richmond Concert Band will perform their annual Fall concert on the lawn at Agecroft Hall. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics for this special free concert; gates will open by 5:00pm.
