Those not in the baby-raising stage might be interested in an author event the Chesterfield Library is holding next Tuesday evening:
Laura Vanderkam: What the Happiest People Know About Getting and Spending
Nationally-known author and lifestyle guru Laura Vanderkam is coming to Chesterfield County Public Library. Vanderkam has been featured on “The Today Show,” “Fox News” and NPR’s “Talk of the Nation.” Vanderkam’s new book, “All the Money in the World: What the Happiest People Know About Getting and Spending,” says that money CAN buy happiness – if it’s spent wisely. For all the obsessing we do about money, why do we seem so unhappy about it? Vanderkam offers us the chance to completely rethink our finances, encouraging us to make conscious decisions about what we value and how we spend our money. Dinner will be available for purchase from Dressed and Pressed and other Grow RVA food trucks.
Please Note This free event is open to the public. For more information please call 804-768-7941 or go to library.chesterfield.gov
