Daily beginning tomorrow through March 7, Fort Lee will be hosting the 37th Annual Military Culinary Arts Competition, billed as the “largest culinary arts competition in North America.” It is free to the public to observe the daily cooking competitions, demonstrations, and ice carvings from 9am-5pm.
And if watching delicious food being prepared makes your tummy rumble, you are in luck: Beginning at 11am each day, two of the groups will be making 3-course gourmet lunches for the extremely affordable price of $4.55.
Yes, $4.55, I called to double-check. And I was told a big crowd shows up, so plan to be there early or by 11am if you want in on one of these meal bargains! Here are the menus for tomorrow’s teams to give you a little sample:
