Shockoe Slip home furnishings store These Four Walls is closing.

According to a report in the Times-Dispatch Bizz Buzz, owner Angie Heyming attributes the closing to terrible retail economic conditions.

A liquidation sale began today, and she hopes to sell off everything by mid-February.

That’s right. The store is closing. After almost 6 years, our beloved These Four Walls is going out of business.

Come in and say goodbye in person. And help us clear everything out. All furniture, fixtures, and supplies must be sold, including the giant Tara Buddha and remaining Judy Crumley art (at 33% off!).

We love Richmond — and especially historic Shockoe Slip — and we will forever love These Four Walls. Long live the dragonfly!

Doors will close permanently around Valentine’s Day.
