Bring the whole family to enjoy what The Children’s Museum of Richmond – Central has to offer from 5:00-7:30pm on the third Friday of every month for just $1 per person!

Lunar landing – hoax or reality? Find out at Richmond’s favorite live planetarium show. Weather permitting, join members of the Richmond Astronomical Society as they share their telescopes in front of the Museum for Sky Watch at 8:30 pm.
SATURDAY

Publick Days and the Godspeed ($5 parking) – Saturday 9am-5pm; Henricus Historical Park, 251 Henricus Park Road
Join Henricus Historical Park to commemorate its 400th anniversary. This special event will feature 100 living history interpreters from around the country portraying both English colonists and native inhabitants of circa 1611 Virginia. Interpreters will occupy the English city, the Indian site Arrohateck, and 17th-century ship replica Godspeed from Jamestown Settlement, and will demonstrate the commercial, mechanical, agricultural, domestic, and military skills of both cultures as would have been observed between the years 1611-1622. General admission fees waived. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Complete weekend itinerary.

Glen Allen Day – Saturday 9:30am-4pm; Meadow Farm Museum/Crump Park
The festivities kick off with the Glen Allen Day Parade at 9:30 a.m. on Mountain Road. The parade will be followed by activities in the park including children’s activities, participation by several local schools, balloons by Miss Sheri the Clown, a Gyrosphere ride, an arts and crafts and business fair, a petting zoo, train rides, custom and classic car show and live musical entertainment featuring Spectrum, Carlton Blount, and Grinding Stone. Concessions will be available for purchase.
