This weekend (August 5-7) is the School Supply and Clothing Tax Holiday in Virginia –
During this three-day period, purchases of qualifying school supplies selling for $20 or less per item, and purchases of qualifying clothing and footwear selling for $100 or less per item will be exempt from sales tax. Retailers may also choose to absorb the tax on other items during the holiday period, but they are responsible for paying the tax on those items to the Department of Taxation.
A complete list of eligible items is available on the website. While the tax holiday only saves you 5%, many retailers offer additional sales during tax-free days!
Both Once Upon a Child (Midlothian and West Broad locations) and Kid-to-Kid Glen Allen are offering 15% off all clothing, in addition to the tax savings
