The small amount of shopping time I had last week was mostly devoted to picking up cheap school supplies – I’ll update you on all the details of that in a few weeks when the challenge is over.
Besides supplies, I did submit a $15 rebate for buying $100 worth of groceries in July. I love these rebates – basically a free $15 (well, $14.56 after postage stamp) for purchasing groceries. All I have to do is mail the form and include my receipts. This is the third one I’ve found this year; they are sponsored by beer companies, so keep an eye out for rebate tearpads in the beer aisle at your grocery store. I have seen them at Kroger, MARTIN’S, and Walmart. No beer purchase is required; in fact, alcohol purchases don’t count towards your total.
How about you? Any tax-free shopping? Did you get free groceries, a cheap clearance item, or a thrift store treasure? Did you have a fabulous time at a free event in town? Leave a comment or link to your post!
