Join us for an evening on the farm, Thursday August 26th, for a late summer celebration at the farm! Check out the Farm Stand, meet our staff and volunteers, and learn about the work of Tricycle Gardens. AND, as biodiversity is one of our favorite topics, we will be having a bug count with some folks from VCU!

For all ages. John’s lush vocal timbre has been compared to those of Harry Connick, Jr., and his scat singing follows the traditions of Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Mel Torme. Friday Live at Five: The Embers – Friday beginning at 5pm; The Hideaway, Fort Lee
The Hideaway is located next to Outdoor Recreation on 5th Street, just off C Ave. All concerts will play rain or shine. Event times for all shows will begin with a DJ spinning from 5- 6pm, bands will play from 6-9pm. Admission is free; food and beverages will be available for purchase. Music Under the Stars Summer Concert Series: The Hullabaloos – Friday 6:30pm; Montpelier Center for the Arts, 17205 Mountain Road
60′s music. Join us for our family-friendly summer concert series on the lawn of The Montpelier Center for Arts & Education! Bring the whole family, feel free to set up your own picnic, and enjoy a night of Music Under the Stars! Admission is FREE, and all concerts are Rain or Shine. Food and beverages (beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks) will be available for purchase. No outside alcohol will be allowed on the grounds! Outside sandbox will be set up for children’s activity.

Monster Drawing Rally – ($5) Saturday 2-7pm; 1708 Gallery, 319 W Broad St
Monster Drawing Rally is a performance, a happening, a bonanza, a rollicking good time of art making, kids activities, food and drinks! The event will consist of 5 one-hour shifts with several artists working simultaneously per hour. Audiences will have the rare opportunity to watch art come to life and purchase complete works on paper for $65 each from more than 70 artists
Richmond Multicultural Day – Saturday 2-8pm; Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, 4401 Forest Hill Ave
Richmond Multicultural Day invites everyone to enjoy the music, dance, crafts, cuisine and fashion from around the world, creating an exciting global journey. Performers from Virginia and Maryland will make this edition more vibrant and exciting as they represent five regions of the world, including the United States. Children will enjoy not only the music and dance, but also Ballons, Clowns, Face Painting, Moon Bouncer (Fun House) and food.
