book sale finder

As I was shopping the Tuckahoe Library book sale on Friday, I noticed signs for BookSaleFinder.com. I am always on the hunt for more book sales, so I checked it out.

BookSaleFinder.com offers a list of upcoming sales around Virginia – None are posted for the Richmond area in the near future, but I did see that VCU Library will be having a sale in October, and that Richard Bland College Library in Petersburg has an ongoing book sale with hardcovers only $.50 and paperbacks $.25.

Non-profit organizations can list their book sale information on BookSaleFinder.com for free, with option to purchase featured listings. (The site loads with far too many ads for my taste, but being a free service, I won’t find too much fault.)

I also signed up for “Sale Mail” to be notified about upcoming sales within a specified mile radius.

Good tip, Alison! I hit Tuckahoe this morning and scored a ton of books. I love paying $1.00 for hardback books. :)

I know, hard to go wrong! You will have to take me along next time to give me recommendations :)

Many libraries also have ongoing book stores inside the libraries. Stop in to one in your own town, as well as when you’re on a trip. (NO need to pack books in your suitcase!) These stores and ongoing sales are also listed on BookSaleFinder.com

Alison, Thanks for the shout out. We think book sales are just great – that’s why my husband and I started Book Sale Finder.
