The way Staples Rewards works is first you must be registered for the free program (can sign up in store too). Scan your rewards card at checkout. A month or two after you purchase the items that qualify for rewards, you’ll receive a rewards check for the amount that is redeemable at Staples and expires after about a month. You can use it to purchase MORE items that qualify for rewards; I paid for most of my battery purchase with an $18 check I earned in January buying other “Free After Rewards” items.
