I adore library book sales. Picking up a book this morning, we happened to run across one at Tuckahoe Library just as it opened:

A box of 25 children’s books for $8.75

The library discards were $.50 and buy two, get one free. They may not look like much, but they’re in pretty good shape and, being library editions, will last forever. I’ve been going to Tuckahoe since I was a toddler, so this particular Maggie B may be the very copy I loved as a kid!
The sale runs through 4pm today, and from 10am to 4pm tomorrow (Saturday) – 1901 Starling Drive, Henrico, VA 23229 (Wish I could have stayed to browse the adult offerings, but my toddler had reached his standing still limit)
…and what treasures you got! And when the proceeds go to benefit the wonderful Tuckahoe Public Library, it’s a win-win situation.
(From your librarian friend – I had all I could do to keep myself away!)
Great point Carrie, I should have mentioned that. We receive so much benefit from Tuckahoe, borrowing books and going to storytimes, it’s wonderful being able to support it in this way
